Chapter 2: The Skype Call
It had been a few weeks now since I had been playing portal 2 with Toby and we were getting to know each others personalities and ways of life since the beginning as he was American and I British. I couldn't ask for a more perfect life at this moment, I would describe it as the most amazing evening on a beach with the sun setting! If you can imagine that or have been in a place like that you know what I mean. Well back to the story! I was doing great in school and been doing extra well now I was feeling more positive about life now knowing I was actually friends with Toby. One day my heart sunk with jealousy after seeing something I didn't want to see. I felt like my world just got torn that bit more. I don't exactly know why I felt jealous I just remember being very negative. It had been a couple of days since I had played portal 2 with Toby. He was such a good friend, like that kind of friend you would trust with your life, and I felt lonely. I did what any friend would do and I emailed him, it read,
'Hey Toby it's Cat! I was wondering if you wanted to play portal 2? ~ Cat x'
I waited an agonising 5 minuets, but to me that's a while when you message someone. He replied back asking this, 'hey cat! Nice to speak we have been needing to catch up why don't we Skype? ~ Toby '
My face lit up just like a bright summers day then I replied at what felt like the speed of light, 'sure we can! Add me : catherinestrangeway that's my user name ~ Cat x' I went to open Skype and wait for a friend request. A friend request came through off Toby and I accepted it screaming, I thought to my self 'this is a dream! It has to be a dream!' I pinch my arm,
"Ow!" I screamed "ok it's not a dream!" I said to my self,
"Cat just keep your cool, keep your cool" I got a video call through and I accept it then I realise I was still in my pac-man onesie but before I could grab me lush green tobuscus zip hoodie from behind me toby is on my mac screen.
"Whatzzup gurl!?" He said in a hyper way to me as I blush deep red and turn back around!
"Hey Toby!" I stutter "H...how are you!?" I was very nervous.
"I'm fine GURL! I'm loving you pac-man onesie" he stated it made me blush more and I turned around and grabbed my tobuscus hoodie putting it on then I smiled at him.
"I cannot believe I'm actually speaking to you like so I can see your face!"
Toby said in return,
"It's cool to speak to your face too" he says laughing "want to see gryphzor?" I nodded a lot,
"Yes it will be cool!" Toby goes out of the sight to get gryphon so I fixed my looks up a bit as I looked like a scruff bag! I looked like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards and then back again! So I brushed my hair and made my self look half decent.
"Here he his!" Toby pulled puppy dog eyes.
"Awwww Toby! So cute" he thought I was talking just about Gryphon but in fact I was talking about them both.
"So Toby have any big plans for videos yet?" I asked him.
"In fact yes I do! I was going to do some parodys I think!" He said with a big grin on his face.
"Sweet I can't wait to see them! I always make sure I see them as soon as they go on so I'm like the 2nd view" I told him more after smiling like a big softy
"I just love being a first viewer of the videos!" I had grabbed my drawing tablet by this point, going close to the monitor plugging it in. Toby laughs,
"Looked like you were giving me a Internet hug but I know you were plugging that tablet in"
"Aww ill give you a Internet hug" I said as I hugged the monitor. Toby hugged his computer monitor back just after he puts gryphon down.
"I hope I get to hug you in real life sometime Toby" I said blushing,
"Aww same here your such a good friends cat! WHHHEWW! Don't blush gurl" he said then I blush more as he noticed I was really red.
"Aww don't blush cat!" He said kindly. I replied back,
"You telling me not it is making me want to!" I shouted in a jokey way.
"I wish I could meet you for real Toby, now were such great friends an' all" I said sweetly
"Humm," he wonders "are you going to comic-con London by any chance?" He asked, "yes!" I jump up "wait...How did you know?"
"Your latest vlog! You posted the link on twitter! Oh and I subscribed to you!" I grinned with excitement "no freaking way!"
"Toby I might come to the London comic-con, I always go the the one here so I might come to the London one for a change!" My eyes had widened as I teared up,
"Can...can we hang out?" I asked shyly
"Sure cat! That be just cool gurl!"
"Well I have to go now toby," I saddened in my looks and voice "I have to go to my horse now and look after her! Hey maybe one day you can come to Manchester and see my house which is darkness then redness then whiteness themed! No joke!" I smiled at him.
"No way!" Toby grinned widely "That's so cool! and yes I would live to come to this city you call Manchester!"
"It's a promise Toby!" I laughed
"Fine a promise!" He said back "well as you need to go I will have to aswell call you soon girl!" I saddened then spoke "bye Toby!" I screamed "I FREAKING LOVE YOU TUBY TURNER!" Then I had stop the call then messaging him 'have a nice day and make some good videos' then I appeared offline. As I logged out my computer I took a deep breath thinking of the conversation many fan girls dream of there whole lives. I smiled at the blank computer screen as a heard Freya knock at the door. I whispered to to deep dark screen and myself "I love your Toby, I really do" I thought for a brief moment then smile running to my front door then I left the empty house ready for the next family member to step foot in the warm home.
